I’m Dvora Elisheva—an author, teacher, and speaker living in Israel since 1982. For more than 40 years, the Lord has been my shepherd, leading me through the valley of the shadow of death and back out, confronting the hard questions, and always surprising me with grace. My writing reflects that journey, as I transparently share stories of grief, abuse, recovery, and hope rediscovered in places where easy answers simply do not work—so that you know you are not alone in your questions.
My hope is anchored in God’s Word and in a living relationship with Yeshua HaMashiach—Jesus, the Messiah. Because I live in a Hebrew‑speaking world and read Scripture in its original context, I love helping you see familiar passages with fresh clarity and real‑world application.
Through my Hope‑Challenged blog, my memoir Connecting the Dots of a Disconnected Life, and years of ministry—including long-term involvement with the Chinese community in Israel—I try to shine a steady light into seasons when the scattered dots of life simply do not connect. Along the way, my writing and teaching have connected with readers from Israel, China, and beyond.
If your hope has been challenged by loss, trauma, disappointment, or simply the weight of everyday life, may you find a kindred spirit who doesn’t minimize pain but rather keeps pointing upward to a trustworthy God. Whether you consider yourself a believer, a seeker, or just someone searching for something real, you are welcome to journey with me toward a deeper faith and durable hope.
